Expressions of interest now open for the Indonesia Connect Roadshow 2023

The Hon Roger Cook MLA, Premier; Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs and Trade; Public Sector Management; Federal-State Relations will lead an Invest and Trade WA mission to Indonesia this September.

The Indonesia Connect Roadshow aims to unlock trade opportunities and strengthen government and industry connections between Western Australia and Indonesia.

Running from 2 to 9 September, the roadshow will feature a curated week-long program of business initiatives in Jakarta, Surabaya and Denpasar.

WA business representatives from the energy transition, international education, primary industries, creative industries and digital economy and tourism sectors are encouraged to submit expressions of interest to join the delegation.

Indonesia is currently WA’s 11th largest trading partner with $4.6 billion of goods traded in 2022, accounting for 25% of total goods traded between Australia and Indonesia.

“Indonesia has a large and growing economy that offers a broad range of opportunities for WA businesses across a range of industry sectors," said Minister Cook.

“As one of Western Australia’s closest geographical neighbours, it is important we continue to foster the strong economic, cultural and strategic relationship we have with Indonesia through initiatives such as the Indonesia Connect Roadshow.”

The Roadshow builds on the success of Indonesia Connect, an Invest and Trade WA-led business forum held in Perth in October 2022, which showcased areas of opportunity and collaboration between Western Australia and Indonesia.

The EOI to join the Indonesia Connect Roadshow is open until 5pm (AWST), Monday 7 July 2023.

To find out more or submit an EOI, visit the Indonesia Connect Roadshow 2023 webpage.
