The Global Growth Accelerator Program: WA Critical Tech to the US is a new initiative to fast-track entry for critical technology industries into the US market. This 3-month program includes tailored workshops, mentoring sessions and culminating in a customised business mission to Austin, Texas to attend the South by Southwest (SXSW 2025) conference.
The Invest and Trade Western Australia USA office will be your host with a focus on emerging trade and investment opportunities in the local innovation and technology sector.

Program benefits
Refining market entry strategies, with a focus on penetrating high-demand sectors like aerospace, defence, advanced manufacturing, and autonomous systems in the US.
Strategic connections with dual-use application and technology leaders actively supporting solution scopes to address commercial and national security interests.
Navigating the US funding landscape, including information on venture capital, government contracts, and defence procurement pathways.
Tailored mentorship and expert guidance, to accelerate US market expansion from experts in dual-use technologies and an Investor-in-Residence.
In-market exposure, to showcase technologies to potential customers, partners, and investors.
Subsidised SXSW Official Badge. A contribution of US$500 towards the cost of the SXSW conference admission badge, providing participants access to SXSW sessions and activities at a discounted rate.
Participation costs and commitment
The Program content and materials are fully covered by Invest and Trade Western Australia.
Individual participants are expected to allocate approximately 2-hours per week for the duration of the program to attend relevant forums and meetings as well as to review various program materials.
Participants are fully responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements to the USA for the business mission, including flights, accommodations, meals, conference badge, and any other related expenses.
Invest and Trade Western Australia will provide a US$500 subsidy for SXSW conference badges. Participants will be responsible for covering any remaining cost of the SXSW badge.
