12 Western Australian companies operating in the critical technologies sector have been selected to participate in a Global Growth Accelerator Program: WA Critical Tech to the US.

Participants will be equipped with tools, knowledge, and networks to refine their go-to-market strategies and gain access to US customers, investors, and partners in both civilian and defence markets.

Program Kick-off: West Tech Fest, Perth, December 2024

Compliance with program terms and conditions

Participants must agree to and adhere to all terms and conditions outlined for the program.

Collaboration with mentors and advisors

Participants must be open to receiving and implementing feedback from mentors and advisors throughout the program.

Travel to the USA for business mission

Participants are fully responsible for their own travel costs to the US for the business mission, including flights, accommodations, and all related expenses.

Full participation in in-market activities

Participants must engage in all program components during the in-market phase, including networking events, workshops, and mentorship sessions.

Preparation for Program Participation

Participants should be willing to complete any pre-program assignments or preparatory activities to ensure readiness for the program

Applicants Must Meet Program Eligibility Criteria

Participants should represent a startup or scaleup focused on critical technologies with dual-use applications, such as advanced manufacturing, AI, or biotechnology, and must be headquartered in Western Australia.

Active engagement in program activities

A commitment to attend all scheduled online sessions and in-person programming is essential to maximize the benefits of the program. These include but are not limited to, orientation at West Tech Fest, a pre-departure briefing and other related activities.

Reporting on Program Outcomes

Participants agree to provide feedback and report on the outcomes of their participation in the program to help assess its effectiveness following the event and at 6 and 12-month intervals via a follow up conversation.

A welcome to the program. You'll receive an overview and be introduced to the Investor-in-Residence, mentors, advisors, and program facilitators who will support you throughout your journey. This in-person session will take place at West Tech Fest in Perth.

Participants will engage in once per week 60-minute online sessions designed to accelerate US market entry such as reviewing US funding opportunities, tailored Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, and government procurement processes. Workshops will be led by US defence and technology leaders.

One virtual 60-minute individual mentorship session with an industry expert to address specific opportunities and goals for your business.

The program will culminate in an immersive in-market experience during SXSW, including participation in a kick-off day event featuring panels, workshops, and facilitated networking opportunities. Access to exclusive events and introductions to key stakeholders in the dual-use application and broader Austin innovation ecosystem.
